About me

April 12, 2017
  • My third-grade teacher pegged me as a writer when I was eight years old. I didn't realize my love of writing was in any way obvious. At the time, I didn't know how to type a single word on the computer and was completely engrossed with another dream -- becoming an Olympic soccer player. But I was also obsessed with observing the world and journaling about it. I have countless old, tattered notebooks to prove it.

My soccer dream didn't survive grade school. Writing emerged as my path of choice, and the rest is history. Now, I'm here. (And you're here!) Thanks for stopping by.

I'm a freelance journalist. I cover all sorts of lifestyle topics, with an emphasis on health, nutrition, relationships/dating, beauty/style and general wellness, in addition to food, fitness, parenting, design/home, and pop culture. I drink way too much coffee, watch waaay too many romantic comedies, get waaaaay too into football season every year. I'm also told I wear too much lipstick by my five-year-old nephew, whom I smother with kisses. (We have agreed to disagree.)

Most importantly, I have my dream career. I'll share a little of that here.

Yes. I said "dream career." Probably better than becoming an Olympic soccer player, because who am I kidding? I never even liked to run.
